Jasons is a Beverage Carbonation Company which has been in business since 1958 and has become one of the largest suppliers of Co2 and Nitrogen to over 1,500++ restaurants, bars, breweries, casinos and many other establishments. We deliver these specialty gases through-out the state of Minnesota, NW Wisconsin and Northern Iowa. Job Description

Jasons is currently recruiting delivery drivers for our Saint Paul, MN location. Our mission is to provide superior service that creates value for our customers with minimal interuption in their day to day operation. We will realize this mission through our commitment to our employees as well as to the highest standards of service, quality, integrity, and safety. This is a Full time position with a 4 day work week, (the hours vary between 5 a.m. and 5 p.m.) driving & deliveries during the day time and you are home daily! You must have a class A or B CDL with Hazmat and tanker endorsements and one year of experience. In this essential position.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret established SOP, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.
  • Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
  • Basic mathematical skills – addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division. 
  • Strong organizational skills. 
  • Good verbal and written communication skills.
  • Experience with hazardous materials and pressurized gas systems preferred.

EDUCATION AND TRAINING

  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent

EXPERIENCE

  • Must be at least 21 years of age.
  • Minimum of 1 year commercial driving experience in a similar vehicle in the past 3 years.
  • Must have a clean driving record that meets Jasons standards

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS

  • Minimum CDL – Class B
  • HAZMAT and Tanker endorsements
  • No air brake restrictions
  • Medical Card required

PHYSICAL QUALIFICATIONS

  • Must be able to direct lift up to 55 lbs. and frequently maneuver cylinders 56 - 175 lbs.
  • Must be able to occasionally maneuver an appliance dolly with a CO2 tanks weighing up to 750 lbs. and 6 ft. tall.
  • Ability to climb in and out of truck multiple times a day.
  • Ability to climb ladders.
  • Frequent walking and standing.
  • Must be able to work at different height levels. 
  • Must be able to work in an outside environment while tolerate extreme temperatures (hot or cold depending upon season and depot location).
  • Have the ability pull and retrace a fill hose with distances up to 100 feet.
  • Must be able to wear all required PPE, (Hard hats, safety glasses, ear protection, steel toed boots, and gloves as required).
  • Must be able to wear company required uniforms.

Responsibilities

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Follows all company safety policies, operating procedures, and directives from Supervisor
  • Transports deliveries according to manifest in a safe, responsible manner and in accordance with company; procedures and applicable DOT regulations;
  • Review communication messages and Safety Alerts from Supervisor
  • Review delivery route and assigned truck check list to ensure all deliveries can be made in a timely fashion
  • Ensure phone is operating properly before leaving on route
  • Perform proper Pre-trip of vehicle following the Operating Procedure and Checklist 
  • Ensure Jasons CO2 Beverage Carbonation Company Shipping Papers -Checklist is completed before leaving on route
  • Safety check the CO2 Receiver, Pump motors, and hoses
  • Fill Bulk Truck with CO2 from the Receiver 
  • Provides good customer service and maintains a professional manner and appearance to enhance the company's image;
  • Secure depot grounds and inform/call supervisor before leaving depot.
  • Applies knowledge and abilities to safely load and unload deliveries according to size of load and content description;
  • Follows the daily delivery schedule or coordinates the most efficient deliveries by applying knowledge of customer schedules, peak delivery times, and alternate routes;
  • Safely Drive and Deliver CO2 to customer locations and ensure all special instructions are followed and reviewed before leaving delivered locations
  • Safely maintain telephone communication with supervisor and/or dispatch to communicate timely ETA’s and completion of calls 
  • Must be able to accommodate shift changes by local management based on the needs of the business.  
  • Performs daily pre-trip and post-trip inspections, corrective and preventative maintenance and documents on the driver's truck inspection sheets;
  • Maintains a daily, legible DOT log book and submits as required;
  • Maintains valid driver's license, endorsements and DOT physical card and submits copies of renewals to the manager in a timely fashion;
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.
